Virginia A. (Kornick) Stasko

   Virginia A. (Kornick) Stasko, age 88, of Mocksville, NC passed away on February 28, 2022, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.

   Virginia was born on April 22, 1933, in Pittsburg, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas Kornick and Helen (Laslavic) Kornick.  In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Edward Stasko, a granddaughter, Noelle Stasko-Pomeroy, and a brother, Tom Kornick.

Virginia was a member of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church.  One of Virginia’s favorite things to do was play cards at the Senior Center.  It was the highlight of her week, every week!

   Virginia leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Edward Stasko and wife, Caroline,  step-grandchildren Philip and James Cleminson (wife – Elizabeth, great grandchildren - Amelia, Isabella, and James X.) of Dover, NH, a daughter, Teresa Slade and her husband Billy of Harmony, NC, one grandson, Alec Harmer and his wife Ali, and one great granddaughter, Addisyn Harmer, who will all miss her greatly.

   On Wednesday, March 9, at 11:00 am a Mass will take place at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Mocksville.  Father Eric will officiate the service.  Virginia will be laid to rest in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in North Huntingdon, PA.
