Timmy Jay Keaton, Sr. age 67 departed this world on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at home in Davie County surrounded by family.
Timmy was born on January 22, 1956, in Yadkin County, NC. He was the son of the late Carlyle Keaton and Virginia (Norman) Keaton. In addition to his mother and father, Timmy was preceded in death by his brothers Carl Ray and Jimmy Keaton.
In life, Timmy chose a career in heating and cooling and worked for many companies including Lowes Food, Yadkin Schools, and Wake Forest University. He loved collecting guns, antiques, and working on old tractors and motors. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and he loved people and liked to joke around. He never met a stranger.
Timmy is survived by his loving wife of over 48 years together, Brenda Kay (Troutman) Keaton of Mocksville, two sons Timmy Jay Keaton, Jr. (Tammy) of Mocksville and Justin Mark Keaton (Ashley) of Pennsylvania, two sisters Linda Hanes and Faye Flynn, both of Mocksville, two grandchildren Chelsea Rose and Paige Addison Keaton, a special nephew Carl Ray Keaton, Jr. and special friends Richard and Val Bostic and Arthur and Eva Bostic.
On Wednesday, March 8, a visitation for Timmy will be held at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Following visitation at 7:00 pm Pastor Keith Ledford and Rev. David Light will officiate a memorial service.
