Thomas Jackson Lagle, Sr., 88, of Mocksville, NC, departed this world from his home in Davie County on April 17, 2021.
Thomas was born August 19, 1932 in Davie County, NC. He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson Lagle and Grace Stroud Lagle. In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his wife Rilla (Tenny) Lagle, three brothers Bill, Bob, and Paul Lagle, son-in-law Tracy Easter, and a grandson Darren Taylor.
In life, Thomas worked and retired from Campbell Body Shop in Salisbury, NC for 25 long years. He honored our country and served in the United States Air Force, and was the assistant Chief for Franklin Fire Department for many years Thomas was of the Baptist faith and attended church at the First Baptist Church of Cooleemee.
Thomas is survived by two sons Jackie Lagle (Penny) and Jeff Lagle (Anita), both of Mocksville, two daughters Susan Lagle Easter and Sheila Taylor (Mike), both of Mocksville, and a sister Laura Jane Barnhardt of Mocksville. Also surviving Thomas are his grandchildren Tommy Lagle (Heather), Amanda Wilson (Curt), Aimee Crowe (Michael), Jordain Kent (Brian), Seth, Matthew, and Lilly Easter, Chace and Colton Lagle, and 9 great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Thomas will be held April 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at Turrentine Baptist Church in Mocksville.
