Terry Leslie Blackwood

   Terry Leslie Blackwood, age 60, of Mocksville, N.C., departed this world on May 10, 2022, from his home in Davie County.

   Terry was born on March 27, 1962, in Davie County, N.C.  He was the son of the late Madeline (Robbins) Blackwood.  In addition to his mother, Terry was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Parks and Sally Robbins as well as several aunts and uncles.

   In life, Terry attended Rowan County schools.  He married the love of his life, Dawn (Taylor) Blackwood in 1996.  Together they raised two beautiful daughters.  Moonshiner, as he was known to many, was his CB handle.  Terry enjoyed golf and LOVED THE COWBOYS.

   Terry is survived by, his loving wife, Dawn Blackwood of Mocksville, two daughters, Tonya Eve Blackwood and Amanda Jeanette Blackwood, both of Mocksville, two grandchildren, Mia and Madison Allen, an uncle, several aunts and a host of cousins.

   A visitation for Terry will be held on Thursday, May 12, at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm.  On Friday, May 13, a Graveside service at Turrentine Baptist Church Cemetery will begin at 2:00 pm.  Pastor John Powell will officiate the service.  Terry will be laid to rest at Turrentine Baptist Church Cemetery.
