Shirley Ann (Brooks) Willis

Shirley Ann Willis, 82, of Mocksville passed away on June 30, 2019 in Advance while under the care of Wellcare Hospice.

Shirley was born July 7, 1936 in Elkhorn City, Kentucky, a daughter to the late Noble Brooks and Lillian Phipps Brooks. She married Frankford Dean Willis in 1954 and spent her life as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Dale Phipps, her sister Bernice Sloan and one granddaughter, Jamie Diane.

Shirley is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 64 years Frankford Dean Willis, son Frankford Dean Willis Jr. of Lexington, son John W. Willis (Melonie) of Salisbury, daughter Sarah Dianne Mills of Mocksville, daughter Donna Gail Landis (Ron) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter Deborah Sue Williams (Danny) of Abingdon, Maryland, brother Noble Brooks (Sandra) of Clarksville, Virginia, sister Lucy Campbell of New Hampshire, as well as nine (9) grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 2:00 PM, also at the Davie Chapel, with Reverend Timothy Sink officiating. Interment will be at Rose Cemetery.
