Shirley Lowdermilk Obituary

   Shirley (Seagle) Lowdermilk, 85, of Mocksville, NC, entered her heavenly home on March 13, 2021 in Forsyth County, NC.

   Shirley was born October 13, 1935 in Burke County, NC.  She was the daughter of the late James Luther Seagle and Johnsie (Rudisell) Seagle.  In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband William Grady Lowdermilk, Sr., a brother Jimmy Seagle and a grandson Benjamin Michael Lowdermilk.

   In life, Shirley was educated by the Thomasville school system and she was a graduate of Hasty High School.  Shirley met the love of her life, William Lowdermilk and was married in South Carolina in 1957.   Shirley retired from working in the manufacturing business for Crown Woodworks after 12 years.  Shirley was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Cooleemee, NC.  When she wanted to relax Shirley enjoyed doing crafts, crochet, reading and puzzles.

   Shirley is survived by a son, William Lowdermilk, Jr. of Mocksville, daughters Patti Edson (Mike) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Ann Bailey of Mocksville.  Also surviving Shirley is a brother Johnny Seagle of Salisbury, NC, sisters Vicki Daniel(Ervin) of Mocksville and Ava Kay Ellis(Floyd) of Yadkinville, NC, eight grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and special friend and neighbor Johnny Frye.

   A graveside service for Shirley will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Rose Cemetery in Mocksville.  The service will be officiated by Rev. Shelby Harbour.
