Sara Jane Edwards

Sara Jane Edwards, 41, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at her home.

She was born January 21, 1983 in Galax, Virginia to Bill Wiley Edwards Sr. and Brenda Lee Fender Edwards.

Sara was a graduate from Davie High School. She worked in the healthcare industry.  Her life revolved around her 15-year-old daughter and her family.  She also had a love for Elvis Presley. 

She was preceded in death by her father Bill Wiley Edwards Sr. and her grandparents.

Survivors include her mother, Brenda Edwards; her daughter, Montana Skye Edwards; four brothers, Billy Willy Edwards Jr., Scotty Shoffner, Aaron Harrison, Twain Kingsbury (Heather); three sisters, Ann Marie Edwards Locklear (Marvin Locklear), Angelia Dawn Edwards (Lee) (Jeff Lee), Gina Gosnell; two nephews, Steven Alan Rucker Jr., Davidson Dakota Eugene Locklear Bryant; five nieces, Lillian J Rucker, Alyssa R Rucker, Jessalyn Cheyann Faith Locklear Bryant, Jasmine M Kingsbury, Joann M Locklear; two great-nephews; eight great nieces; two special cousin, Michael Conway Hayes and Dustin A Osborne  several aunts  uncles and cousins

The family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial service, Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 1:00pm at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, with Pastor John Powell, officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.

The family asks that donations be made to Davie Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
