Sadie Mae (Allen) Williams, 86, of Mocksville, NC entered her heavenly home on October 6, 2020 at the Davie Medical Center in Advance, NC.
Sadie was born August 30, 1934 in Davie County, NC the daughter of the late Ernest Vaden Allen and Nettie Dell (Kersh) Allen. Sadie is also preceded in death by her husband Johnny Ray Williams, a son Ernest Bradley Williams, and sisters Dorothy Gene (Allen) Cooper and Lenora Dell (Allen) Freeman.
In life Sadie graduated from Mocksville High School. She married Johnny Ray Williams in April of 1958. Sadie worked in communications as a 911 operator for Davie County 911 for 15+ years. Sadie was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school, was in the choir, and she attended church faithfully until her health no longer allowed her to attend. Sadie loved her family, her grandkids were here life! Sadie also loved to cook (and was very good at it) and she loved sewing.
Sadie is survived by her 2 sons Jeffrey Shuford Williams and Michael Ray Williams (Shirley F. Williams), a daughter-in-law Robbin Williams, 2 brothers Jack Preston Allen Sr. and Ernest Weldon Allen, 5 grandchildren Daniel Ray Williams, Jonathan Vaden Williams, Steven Bradley Williams, Caroline Elaine Williams, and Jessica Leigh Williams.
A visitation for Sadie will be held Friday October 9, 2020 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm at Edgewood Baptist Church. A funeral service for Sadie will follow visitation for Friday October 9, 2020 at 3:00pm at Edgewood Baptist Church. Officiating the service will be Pastor Frank Blankenship. Sadie will be laid in her final place at Salisbury National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville to assist with funeral expenses.
