Ronald “Ronnie” Dale Peacock Sr., 69, of Mocksville passed away at home February 15, 2021. He was born May 30, 1951 in Davie County to the late Ivey Lee Peacock and Lizzy Turner Padgett. Ronnie is also preceded by his stepdad Henry Turner, sisters, Julie Sizemore, Kathleen Frye, brothers, Kenneth Peacock, Herman Peacock, Harold Peacock, Larry Peacock, step sisters, Laura Lee Smith, Thelma Turner, Evelyn Turner, and a great grandchild, Kaydon Powell.
Ronnie attended Davie High School, worked as a logger and later retired from Davie Lumber and Logging. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting trees, and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 51 years Johnnie Sue Peacock of Mocksville, sons, Ted Peacock of Mocksville, Ronald Peacock Jr. (Carolyn) of Mocksville, daughter, Shelia Bales (Jerry Sr.) of Cooleemee, brother, Gary Peacock (Mary) of Cooleemee, sister, Sue Cunningham (Chuck) of Dry Fork, VA, grandchildren, Ashley Hall (Josh) of Mocksville, Jerry Bales Jr. (Tiffany) of Cooleemee, Angel Peacock of Cooleemee, Brian Peacock (Haley) of Harmony, Brandy Bales (Travis) of Yadkinville, and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will have a visitation from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 with the service to follow at 4:00 PM in the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville, Pastor Bruce Harry will be officiating.
