Ronald Jerry Beaver

   Ronald Jerry Beaver, age 75 of Salisbury, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Glen Kiser Hospice House in Rowan County.

   Ron, as he was so lovingly known as, was born on October 1, 1947, in Rowan County, North Carolina.  He was the son of the late Ralph Edwin Beaver and Laura (Ledford) Beaver.  In addition to his mother and father, Ron was preceded in death by his sister Cathy Beaver Watson.

   In life, Ron graduated from college and earned an associate degree.  He honored our country and served in the United States Army where he earned a purple heart and the national defense service medal while in the Vietnam War.  Later, Ron chose a career in the furniture industry where he was a manager.  Ron worked for Baker Furniture for over 30 years until he retired in 2012.  After retiring Ron enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, carpentry, fishing, collecting slot cars, Lionel Trains, NASCAR, and the beach.

  Ron leaves behind to cherish his memory, a son Ronald “Jerry” Beaver, II. (Janet), of Kannapolis, two daughters Suzanne Beaver Wallace (William) of Woodleaf and Laura Christine Beaver of Salisbury, Jamie Beaver Monke, Shelby Beaver Rice, Emily Diane Wallace, and William Brandon Wallace, and two great grandchildren.

   On Saturday, June 10, Pastor John Powell will officiate a graveside service for Ron at Rowan Memorial Park beginning at 10:00 am.
