Roger Michael Adams

   Roger Michael Adams, age 72, of Yadkinville, NC, departed this world September 13, 2022, as the result of an auto accident. 

   Roger was born July 2, 1950, in Forsyth County, NC, the son of the late Zeno Jack and Gladys Marie (Cline) Adams. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Adams. 

   Roger married the love of his life, Brenda Carol (Nance) Adams in 1970. He graduated from Forbush High School with the class of 1971. Roger then volunteered for three years in the U.S. Army, where he served as a communications specialist. Roger earned two associate’s degrees at Forsyth Tech, and he worked for several manufacturing companies in the area as a mechanic and industrial maintenance electrician. Following retirement in 2011, Roger and his dog, U, frequented local flea markets. He also enjoyed thrift shopping, trying new cooking ideas, and watching movies. 

   Roger leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 52 years, Brenda Adams; daughter Shelley Adams; son Dugan Adams (Michelle); and faithful dog, U, of Yadkinville. Also surviving are his brother, David Adams (Teresa), of Germantown, NC; sister, Carol Mock (Tom), of Advance, NC; and many nieces and nephews. 

   Friends are invited to join the family as they share memories of Roger at his wake on October 8, 3-6 p.m. in the fellowship hall at Deep Creek Friends Meeting in Yadkinville.
