Pamela Jean (King) Newton, age 75, of Mocksville, NC, passed away on July 12, 2022, at her home in Davie County.
Pamela was born on July 18, 1946, in Maine. She was the daughter of the late Clement King and Marion (Caldwell) King. In addition to her parents, Pamela was preceded in death by her loving husband Dewey Newton and her brother, Robert Sherard.
In life, Pamela graduated from Waterville High School. Later, she began a career in sales and worked with Avon for ten years, until she retired. Pamela was a Christian woman and was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. She was a dedicated member of the choir and was part of the Hostess Committee. Pamela was also a valued volunteer at Dragonfly House.
Pamela is survived by her two daughters, Roxanne Bowers (Edgar) of Mocksville and Julie Guild of Maine, a sister-in-law, Diane Groder, a grandson, Raymond Bowers of Mocksville, nephews, Gregg and Brian Gerald, and nieces, Terry and Lori Gerald.
On Saturday, July 23, a memorial service for Pamela will be held at Edgewood Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 am. Pastor Frank Blankenship will officiate the service.
