Nancy Booe Bailey

Nancy Booe Bailey, 87, of Mocksville passed away on May 19, 2019 in Davie County, NC.

Nancy was born April 13, 1932 in Davie County, a daughter to the late Jack Aaron Booe and Nannie (Jordan) Booe. She attended and graduated from Farmington High School and later married Charlie Bailey. Nancy was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband Charlie, her sons Jerry Wayne Bailey and Larry Dean Bailey, her brother Billy Booe and sister Wilma Cole.

In life, Nancy worked as a seamstress. She attended Turrentine Baptist Church and in her leisure time enjoyed crocheting and sitting outside. She loved the mountains and the beach.

Nancy is survived by a large and loving family including her son Charlie “Beetle” Bailey (Deborah) of Advance, son Gary “Chubby” Bailey (Teresa) of Woodleaf, daughter Camilla Ann Bailey of Mocksville, brother Vernon Booe of Mocksville, brother Lewis Booe (Bonnie) of Winston-Salem, sister Pearlene Reavis of Mocksville and sister Margaret Allison of Mocksville, as well as several grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 22 at 10:00 AM at the Bear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Gregg Mcewen officiating.
