Linda Denise (Vick) Cockerham

   Linda Denise (Vick) Cockerham, age 64 of East Bend, North Carolina passed away on May 14, 2023, at Kindred Hospital in Guilford County.

   Denise was born on November 28, 1958, in Davie County.  She was the daughter of the late Billy Bert Vick and Myrtle Marie (Haire) Vick. 

   In life, Denise graduated from Davie High School with the class of 1977.  Later, she chose a career in accounting where she worked with Atrium Health at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for 30 plus years until she retired in 2022.  Denise enjoyed the little things in life like watching the Tarheels and other sports, going to the beach and beach music festivals, but most of all she loved to be with her family.

   Denise leaves behind to cherish her memory a son Blake Cockerham of East Bend, a daughter Meagan Cockerham (Adam Stringfield) of East Bend, a brother Steve Vick (Angela) of Mocksville, a nephew Landon Zane Vick, an aunt Loretta Bolick of Tampa and many close friends.

   On Saturday, May 20, 2023, a visitation for Denise will be held at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.  Following visitation at 5:00 pm Blake Cockerham and Pastor Tim Coleman will officiate a graveside service at Rose Cemetery.
