Leonor Delgado-Medrano

   Leonor Delgado Medrano, age 78 of Salisbury, NC passed away on March 3, 2023.

   Leonor was born on July 28, 1944 in Timbinal Guerrero, Mexico.  She was the daughter of the late Ramon Delgado and Ignacia Medrano.  In addition to her mother and father, Leonor was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Bonifacio Pineda, a daughter Susana Pineda, a sister Felix Delgado, a brother Margarito Delgado, and a grandson Richard Pineda.

   In life, Leonor attended church at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and traveling to the beach.  She collected seashells, was very strong willed, and was always helping others.  Leonor was an incredible mother, wife, grandmother, and friend who will be missed by many.

   Leonor leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons Homero Pineda (Teresa Mercado), Miguel Angel Pineda (Zonia Zepeda), and Manuel Pineda (Norbeta Mercado), three daughters Maria Pineda, Nereyda Pineda and Daisy Pineda (Carlos Linares), three brothers Pedro Delgado, Artemio Delgado, and Eloy Orozco, and three sisters Ana Orozco, Josefina Delgado and Flor Delgado.  Also surviving Leonor are her 23 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a brother-in-law Renulfo Gonzalez, and friends Ester Romero and Alicia Madrigal.

   On Friday, March 10, a visitation for Leonor will be held at the family home from 12:00 pm – March 11 at 11:00 am.   On Saturday morning, March 11, a funeral service will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church beginning at 11:00 am.
