Judith "Judie" Irene (Fitch) Fontana

Judith "Judie" Fitch Fontana, 75, of Mocksville, NC passed away on Oct. 9, 2020 at her residence in Davie County.

Judie was born February 14, 1945 in Johnson City, NY to the late Walter Robert Fitch and Irene Mae (Zeigler) Fitch.  She was also predeceased by her first husband, Ralph Fabrizio, her brother Phillip Fitch and sister Elisabeth "Betty" Edwards.

Judie graduated from Johnson City High School in 1962 and went on to work for 32 years at the Verizon Phone Company where she became a manager for a call center.   Thirty-four years ago, she met and married Robert Fontana.  Judie was of the Christian faith and enjoyed genealogy, gardening, crafts and reading.

Judie is survived by her husband, Robert Fontana of Mocksville, NC;  daughter Lisa Robbins (Dennis) of Byers, Co.; son Eric Fabrizio (Jodie) of Rome, NY; step-daughter Teresa Benner of Glastonbury, CT; step-son Robert Fontana(Christine) of Fayetteville, NY; step-son, Craig Fontana(Jen) of Cicero, NY;  sister, Mary Simpson (James) of Pfafftown, NC; 10 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

At this time there are no scheduled services for Judie.
