Judith “Maxcine” Stevenson, 75, of Mocksville, NC, entered her heavenly home on October 13, 2021 from Wake Baptist Medical Center in Forsyth County.
Maxcine, as she was so lovingly known as, was born on February 20, 1946 in Guilford County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Atlas David Stevenson and Emma Lee (Lindsay) Stevenson. In addition to her parents, Maxcine was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen and Glenn Stevenson, three sisters, Alease Hayes, Mary Wagner, Joanne Stevenson, and 2 nieces, Nakiesha Johnson and Glenda Stevenson.
In life, Maxcine attended schools in North Carolina. She received her GED at Davie County Community College . Maxcine began a career in healthcare and also, one in manufacturing, she was a nursing assistant and a fire sprinkler manufacturer. Maxcine attended at Mt. Zion CME of Salisbury, NC. Maxcine was a simple woman that loved to read, especially her Bible, and solve crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Maxcine leaves behind to cherish her memory; a son, David Stevenson of Mocksville, three sisters, Phyllis Stevenson of Lexington, Emma White of Mocksville, and Eugenia Ijames of Mocksville, two grandchildren, Onesha Stevenson, and Shanice Graham, seven great-grandchildren, Andrew Johnson, Harmony and Jordan Graham, Davion, Trinitee, Tarez, and Tariq, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss Maxcine greatly.
A visitation for Maxcine will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville. Following visitation at 2:00 pm a funeral service will take place also, at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville. Rev. Charles Walker will officiate the service.
