Joyce Ann (Edwards) Hayes

On Thursday, November 7 at 3:20 pm, Surrounded by her family, Joyce Ann Hayes flew to Heaven to be with her beautiful niece Sara and her loving family. Meeting her at the Golden gates was her parents, William "Wiley" and Lillian Mae Edwards, her siblings Henry, Wes, Howard, Emmette, Bill, Marie and granddaughter, Katie Hayes. Also, two special nieces, Sara Jane and Lillian "Pooty" Tickle. 

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Charles "Buck" Hayes, Sr. 5 sons Michael (Jeslyn) Hayes, Orville (Amanda) Hayes, and Charles Hayes, Jr (Shana), Ronald Hayes, Justin Spillman (Misty). Grandchildren Sydney, Ava, Alex, Austin, Johnathan, and Travis. Brother Jack (Betty) Edwards, Sister in Laws Brenda Edwards, Phyllis Hayes, and Regina Hatcher and brother-in-law John Avery Hayes, special friends, Big Lou Moore, Caleb Carter; along with numerous Nieces, Nephews, and friends. 

Joyce was a spitfire who loved her family, especially her son Michael, her cats, and Conway Twitty. Our hearts are broken and a huge void is left in our family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Rowan Hospital for the excellent care and compassion they showed Joyce and her family. 

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
