John Andrew Brown

   John Andrew Brown, 62, of Mocksville, NC departed this world on November 14, 2021 from his home in Davie County.

   John was born on January 24, 1959 in Forsyth County, NC.  He was the son of the late Janice (Whitlock) Edwards.  In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Anne Cartner.

   In life, John graduated from Parkland High School then went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Caldwell Community College.  John honored our country and served in the United States Army.  He later began a career as a Biomed Technician for Trimedix at Novant Health.  He married the love of his life, Debra Cecile (Joiner) Brown and with their union had one son.  In his free time, John liked to golf, surf fish, and enjoyed hanging out with his faithful companion, Smokey Bear the dog.

   John leaves behind to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 36 years, Debra Cecil Brown of the Farmington Community, a son, Christopher C. Brown (Olivia) of Sheffield, and a brother, Robert Brown of Mocksville, who will all miss him dearly.

   A family gathering will be held to honor John’s memory.
