Jerry Lee Pearcy Sr.

Jerry Lee Pearcy Sr., 79 passed away in Mocksville, NC, formerly of  Bluefield, WV.  Jerry was born April 14, 1940, in Bluefield, Virginia to the late Oscar Lee and Bessie Pearcy.  Jerry was a lifelong resident of Bluefield, West Virginia and was a member of Duhring Church of Christ.

Jerry was a graduate of Graham High School in Bluefield, Virginia. After high school he joined the Army National Guard where he proudly served his country for two years.  After coming home, he worked for Norfolk Southern Rail Road.  He was an avid gun collector and loved to hunt and fish.  He loved talking, storytelling and never met a stranger.

Jerry was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Oscar Lee and Bessie Pearcy, a sister, Shirley Ann Pearcy, three brothers, Johnny Dean Pearcy; Ronald Kenneth Pearcy; Albert Cecil Pearcy and a Son Michael Pearcy

Survivors include his Daughter, Lena Reinsvold and Husband Roger, Sons: Jerry Lee Pearcy, Jr. and wife Cathy, Jon Pearcy and wife Wendy and Samuel Pearcy. Grandchildren; Amber Reinsvold – Matthew Hartley; Joshua Reinsvold; James Watkins, Daniel Pearcy; Jessica Pearcy, Jonah Pearcy; Jacob Pearcy; Destiny Pearcy; Madison Pearcy; and Erin Pearcy, seven Great Grandchildren and ex-wife Jula Jennings all of Mocksville.

Two step daughters; Penny Stevens of Athens Alabama and Lisa Lacy of Bluewell, WV.  Sister, Janet Bailey- Husband Roger of Bluefield, WV and Brother Donald Pearcy of Bluefield, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express our sincere appreciation to Trellis Hospice of Mocksville, NC and to his care giver Pamela Akers of Bluefield, WV.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday November 15 at 1:00pm, in the Davie Funeral Service Chapel of Mocksville, NC, with Pastor James Bassett officiating. A Visitation will be held at 6:00- 8:00pm Thursday November 14, 2019 in the Davie Funeral Service Chapel.
