Jason Thomas Green

   Jason Thomas Green, 40, of Mocksville, NC, entered his heavenly home on March 1, 2021 at Atrium Health Care in Stanley County, NC.

   Jason was born August 24, 1980 in Forsyth County, NC.  He was the son of Wanda (Bryant) Green Cozart and the late James Rufus Green.  In addition to his father, Jason is preceded in death by his step-father Allen Cozart.

   In life Jason graduated from Davie County schools and was part of the class of 1997.  Jason was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Bear Creek Baptist Church.  When he wasn’t volunteering Jason loved sports, NASCAR, fishing and most of all the Florida State Seminoles football team.

   Jason leaves behind to cherish his memory; a mother Wanda Green Cozart of Mocksville, NC, sons Connor Green and Camden Green, both of Asheville, NC, a daughter Jaden Keith of Salisbury, NC, a brother Doug Green (Diane) of Mocksville, NC, and a sister Michelle Barneycastle (Ricky) of Mocksville, NC.  Also surviving Jason is his fiancé Darcy VerHoven of Mocksville, special family Irene, Richard, and Michael VerHoven, nieces Kayla Snyder and Casey Barneycastle, and a nephew Zach Green.

   A visitation for Jason will be held Saturday March 6, 2021 from 10:00 am – 12:30 pm at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville.  A graveside service for Jason will follow visitation at 1:00 pm March 6, 2021 located at Bear Creek Cemetery.  The service will be officiated by Rev. Tony Morris and Preacher Gilbreath.
