Janice Marie (Brannock) Solomon

   Janice Marie (Brannock) Solomon, 74, of Advance, departed this world on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from her home in Davie County.

   Janice was born on August 14, 1947, in Low Gap, VA.  She was the daughter of the late Spurgeon Lee Brannock and Ottolene Lucille (Eastridge) Brannock.  In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by a son, Charlie Bann, a daughter, Anita Proffitt, brothers, Ricky Brannock, Bobby Brannock, Roger Brannock, and Ray Brannock. Grandson Wesley Martin, Great Granddaughter Adalynne Martin.

   In life, Janice attended Winston-Salem schools.  She met and married the love of her life, John Levi Solomon in 1994.  Janice worked on the line for VF Jean Wear for 25 years until she retired.  She was a Christian woman and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mocksville.  Janice loved her children and grandchildren.  Janice would have gladly gone without, for others to have what they needed.  Janice was a mother to everyone she met.

   Janice leaves behind to cherish her memory; her loving husband, John Solomon of Advance, a son, Luther Samuel Horne, III (Lynn) of Mocksville, a daughter, Sonya Gay Huffman (Christopher) of Advance, a brother, James Brannock of Clemmons, and a sister, Sue Roberson of Mocksville.  Also, surviving Janice are her many grandchildren; Farren Stanley, Nicholas Roig, Taylor Proffitt, Dennis Proffitt, Zane Martin, Angel Martin, Brite Martin, Luther Horne, IV, Faith Horne, and Patrick Horne, along with a host of great grandchildren.

   A visitation for Janice will be held on Tuesday, February 1, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville.  Following visitation at 1:00 pm a funeral service will take place, also at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville.  Pastor Darrel Cox will officiate the service.  Janice will be laid to rest in Bear Creek Cemetery.
