James "Calvin" Mayfield

James “Calvin” Mayfield, 68, of Mocksville, NC, entered his heavenly home on October 26, 2020 at Davie Nursing and Rehab in Davie County.

Calvin was born August 9, 1952 in Rowan County, NC, the son of the late James Mayfield and Bernice Mayfield. 

In life Calvin attended Morningside High School in Iredell County.  He worked in the construction industry as a concrete finisher.  Calvin was employed with Mocksville Millworks, Cockerham Construction, and Tanglewood Country Club for a number of years.  Calvin was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Calvin is survived by a brother Randy Mayfield (Tunya March-Mayfield) of Winston-Salem, NC, four sisters Carolyn Tatum of Mocksville, NC, Patricia Williams (Harold Williams) of Woodleaf, NC, Josephine Mayfield of Mocksville, NC, Jeannie Rivers (Tommy Rivers) of Mocksville, NC and LOTS of nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service for immediate family will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday October 30, 2020 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Mocksville, NC.
