James Luther Horne, 54, of Iredell County, entered into his heavenly home on April 15, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

James was born on March 11, 1966 in Maryland to the late Luther Samuel Horne Sr. and Martha ( ) Horne.

In life James attended school in Maryland and Iredell County, NC. James was a truck driver and lover of horses, he was also a skilled Horseman (Farrier and did all types of horse care). James attended Brown Baptist Church and loved hot rods and motorcycles.

James is survived by sons Lukas Dewayne Horne (Scarlette) of Greenville, NC, Ethan James Marston of Boston, MA, Samuel Waylon Horne of Mocksville, NC, brothers Luther Samuel Horne Jr. of Mocksville, NC, Roger Dale Horne (Anita) of Yadkinville, NC, Kevin Donahue Horne of Attica, MS, sisters Peggy Deloris Stanley of Mocksville, NC, Veronica Elaine Perkins of Mocksville, NC, Sandra Lynn Wagner of Hamptonville, NC, Julia Marie Burton of Farmington, NC, Cherie Everette of Statesville, NC, Pamela Blandford of Statesville, NC, and Betty Joe Travis of Atlanta, GA.

A service for James will be set at a later date.
