Jack Taylor

Jack Cathell Taylor, 87, of Advance, NC, died January 25, 2020 at NC States Veterans Home in Salisbury.

Jack was born October 31, 1932 in Davidson County, NC, a son of the late Henry Alec and MaryLou (Johnson) Taylor. He was also preceded in death by his wife of thirty nine years Loretta Faye (Williams) Taylor, great grandson Will.

In life Jack attended Forsyth County Schools, he then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jack worked for R.J. Reynolds Whitaker Park for thirty five years. He was a member of Fork Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed to read, singing, and sports especially the Atlanta Braves.

Survivors include sons John Taylor (Penny), and Jeff Taylor (Paula), daughters Jean Campbell, and Jackie Allgood (Bobby), brothers Jerry Taylor, Jimmy Taylor (Linda), sisters Judy Hatfield(Jim), and Janet Callaway (Butch), eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren.

Funeral Service with Military Honors, will be held 2:00PM on Wednesday January 29, 2020 at Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Garrett officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Fork Baptist Church 3140 US-64 Mocksville, NC 27028.
