Esther (Lagle) Miller

   Esther (Lagle) Miller, age 87 of Mocksville, North Carolina entered her heavenly home on July 20, 2023.

   Esther was born on August 28, 1935, in Davie County.  She was the daughter of the late Henry Adam Lagle and Iva (Deadmon) Lagle.  In addition to her mother and father, Esther was preceded in death by her loving husband Guilford Gray Miller.

   In life, Esther graduated from Davie County Schools.  She chose a career in the legal field and worked as a secretary for many years until she retired.  Esther was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Turrentine Baptist Church.  In her free time, Esther enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

   Esther leaves behind to treasure her memory, a son Timothy Miller (Kathy) of Mocksville, a brother Henry “Hamp” Lagle of Mocksville, grandchildren, Tina Coffey (Jason), Kevin Miller, and Randy Miller (Rebecca), and three great grandchildren Jadyn Coffey, Alyssa Coffey, and Ryan Miller.

   A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 22, beginning at 1:00 pm at Turrentine Baptist Church Cemetery.  Pastor Fred Carlton will officiate the service.

   As requested by Esther, the service will not provide chairs, please bring one with you if you would like to sit.
