Eller Marlene Nail

   Eller Marlene Nail, age 72 of Mocksville, NC departed this world on January 25, 2023, from her home in Davie County.

   Marlene, as she was so lovingly known as, was born on October 17, 1950, in Rowan County, NC.  She was the daughter of the late John Sidney Nail and Catherine (Bullock) Nail.  In addition to her mother and father, Marlene was preceded in death by a son Eric Paul Shelton, a sister Linda Nail Ludwig, and a son-in-law Dwayne O’Dell Brown.

   In life, Marlene graduated from Davie High school.  Later she chose a career in the manufacturing industry where she worked for many years until she retired.  Marlene was also a member of Cooleemee Presbyterian Church.

   Marlene leaves behind to cherish her memory, a daughter Jeanie Shelton Brown of Cooleemee, a brother Sid Nail (Vicki) of Cooleemee, one granddaughter Mary Catherine Brown, nieces and nephews Allison, Josh, and David, and great nieces and nephews Taylor, Emily, Reid, Isabella, Jack, and Cate.

   On Monday, January 30, a visitation will be held from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville.  Following visitation at 12:30, a graveside service will take place at Legion Memorial Park Cemetery.
