Donald “Don” Dean Flock, 81, of Mocksville, NC, departed this world on October 3, 2021, from his home in Davie County.
Don, as he was so lovingly known as, was born on January 6, 1940 in South Greensburg, PA. He was the son of the late Willard Flock and Ada Grace (Yeager) Flock. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Flock in 1961, his brother, Willard “Jim” James Flock in 2006, and his brother-in-law, Melvin Albright.
In life, Don attended Pennsylvania schools. Later, he started a career in the Transportation Industry as a truck driver for ABF Freight. Don worked as a truck driver for 45 years until 2003 when he retired. Right before his retirement, Don was awarded the 1,000,000 mile award for his accomplishments on the road. When Don wasn’t traveling, he enjoyed wood work, landscaping, and being an all-around handy man.
Don is survived by his two daughters, DeAnna Flock of Shippensburg, PA, and Dawn Flock Clements (Robert) of Houston, TX, a brother, Robert Flock (Susan) of South Greensburg, PA, his twin sister, Dorothy Flock Albright of Daniels, WV, his grandchildren, Ryan Palmer (Mercedes) of Red Lion, PA, Brittnee Palmer of Shippensburg, PA, great-granddaughter, Ava Ott, along with three nephews and five nieces who will all miss him dearly.
A memorial service for Don will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
