Donald Eugene Zimmerman

Donald Eugene Zimmerman, 74, of Harmony, NC, died March 12, 2020 at his residence.

Donald was born 3-31-1945 in Cuyohaga, Ohio, a son of the late Julius Eugene Zimmerman Jr. & Shirley Ione (Carter) Zimmerman. He was also preceded in death by brothers Julius Zimmerman, and Raymond Zimmerman.

Donald was a graduate of St. Joes Class of 1963. He was a truck driver with USF Holland for twenty five years and was a member of Teamsters Long Haul Union. Donald was a member of St. Francis Of Assisi Catholic Church of Mocksville. He liked to collect things.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Ann (Novitt) Zimmerman, sons Donald E. Zimmerman (Charlie) of Leroy, Ohio, David Zimmerman (Michelle) of St. Augustine, Florida, daughter Karen Kastor (Rich) of Chardon, Ohio, brothers George Zimmerman (Debbie) of West Palm Beach, Florida, Richard Zimmerman (Pen) of Solon, Ohio, sisters Shirley Gober (Victor) of Russell, Ohio, Sharon Wilson (Pete) of Pepper Pike, Ohio, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00AM on Monday March 16, 2020 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church of Mocksville, NC, with Father Eric Kowalski officiating.
