Charles Franklin Myers, 72, of Taylorsville, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024 at his daughter’s home.
He was born January 30, 1952 in Davie County, NC to the late Henry Myers and Gladys Myers.
Charles retired from the Trucking Industry, where he worked as a Truck Driver. He was an active member of Countryside Baptist Church in Statesville. He enjoyed singing in the choir, baking, golfing, and fishing. He had a great love for God, his family and all of his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James and Bobby; and two sisters, Freida and Kathy.
Survivors include his daughters, Athena Myers Barnette (Michael), LeAndra Myers Weaver (Samuel); his step son, Jerry Stevenson; brother, Herman Myers; and eight grandchildren; Josiah Barnette, Emma Grace Mamum (Kaiser), Nathaniel Barnette (Kelli), Sadie Barnette, Benjamin Barnette, Allie Weaver (David), Mahala Grant (Austin), and Zachary Weaver (Sophia); several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family will have a Celebration of Life Memorial service, Friday, November 8, 2024, at 4:00pm at Countryside Baptist Church in Statesville, with Pastor Kevin Hobson, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 3:00pm to 4:00pm.
