Carolyn Bernice (Potts) Potts

   Carolyn Bernice (Potts) Potts, age 76 of Harmony, NC departed this world on January 26, 2023, from her home in Iredell County.

   Carolyn was born on September 19, 1946 in Davie County.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas Noah Potts and Fallie Belle (Spry) Potts.  In addition to her mother and father, Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe Van Potts, her son James Henry Potts, one brother and four sisters.

   In life, Carolyn attended school in Davie County.  Later, she married her husband Joe Van Potts in 1968.  Carolyn stayed home and raised her five beautiful children.  She took pride in her home and loved to clean it, she also loved to take care of her flowers and mow her yard.  Carolyn loved the outdoors and her chickens, too.

   Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memory, two sons Donald Joe Potts of Statesville, NC and Noah Franklin Potts of Harmony, two daughters Brenda Christine Davis (Dwight) of Harmony and Barbara Potts Trent (Earl) of Harmony, several grandchildren Lucille, Joanna, Christy, Ryan, Jessica, Jacob, Raylen, and six great grandchildren Aliyah, Tiana, Kinsley, Nova, Xena, and Spencer.  Also surviving Carolyn is her daughter in law Tameka Potts.

   On Sunday, January 29, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm a visitation for Carolyn will be held at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville.  On Monday, January 30, a second visitation will be held at Calahaln Friendship Baptist Church from 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm and will be followed by a funeral service at 3:30 pm.  Carolyn will be laid to rest in Harmony City Cemetery.
