Carolyn Wesley (Moore) Hankins

   Carolyn (Wesley) Moore Hankins, age 87, of Lexington, NC, Passed away on May 29, 2022, at Bermuda Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Davie County.

   Carolyn was born on January 9, 1935, in Davidson County.  She was the daughter of the late Horrace Wesley Moore and Vada Kenerly.  In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister Jeanne Moore Trexler.

    In life, Carolyn graduated from Lexington High School with the class of 1953 and then attended college.  She chose many career paths, with her last work being with the City of Winston-Salem.  Carolyn was a Christian woman and was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church.

    Carolyn is survived by her many nieces and nephews; Marian Trexler Rose, Joseph A. Trexler III, Steven Wayne Trexler, and many great nieces and nephews.

    A graveside service for Carolyn will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Lexington, NC.  The date and time will be announced.
