Bobby Luke Phillips

Bobby Luke Phillips, 83, of Mocksville, NC, went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Bobby was born July 29, 1937 in Ashe County, NC.  He was the son of the late James France Phillips and Beatrice (Pennington) Phillips.  In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his brothers Cecil and Charles Phillips, and a granddaughter Heavenly Joy Phillips.

In life, Bobby worked and retired from Drexel Heritage Furniture.  He married the love of his life Reba Ardella (Daywalt) Phillips in September of 1959 in Davie County.  Bobby faithfully attended Liberty Baptist Church, where he served as an ordained Deacon since 1963.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife Ardella Phillips, 3 sons: Tony Phillips of Kernersville, NC, Jerry Phillips (wife-Tracey) of Mocksville, John Phillips (wife-Tammy) of Greenville, SC; a daughter Rebekah Keener (husband-Kris) of Centreville, VA.  Bobby also leaves behind his 2 brothers James Phillips (wife-Jeanette) of Robbinsville, NC, Lester Phillips (late wife-Flora) of Mocksville, NC; 5 sisters Faye Barneycastle (husband-Spencer) of Georgia, Wilma Reavis (late husband-Lowell) of Mocksville, NC, Betty Harris (husband-Donnie) of Mocksville, Patsy Bolin (late husband-Lindsay) of Advance, NC, Carolyn Price (husband-Rick) of Mocksville, NC; 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

A drop-in visitation for Bobby will be held on Saturday January 16, 2021 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville.  Following visitation a graveside service for Bobby will begin at 3:00 pm at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.  The service will be officiated by Rev. Noel Hawks and Rev. Rodney Barker.
