Bobbie "Bob" Goins Obituary

Bobbie “Bob” Lee Goins, 83, of Rock, West Virginia passed away on November 11, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Winston- Salem, NC.

Bob was born on November 28, 1936 in Matoaka, West Virginia.  He was the son of the late Harry Lee Goins and Margaret Josephine (Pacitto) Goins.  In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers Troy and James Goins, and his grandsons Bobby and Brandon Runyon, and dear brother in law JR Hylton.

In life Bob worked as a metal fabricator with General Motors.  He worked with General Motors for 30 years before retiring.  Bob met the love of his life, Pearl “Pat” (White) Goins and was married in November of 1957.

Those left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 63 years, Pearl “Pat” Goins, a son Bobby Jr. Goins (Mary) of Michigan, daughters Norma Pray (Matt) of Michigan, Diana Scheinberg (Darren) of New York, Pam Runyon of NC.  Bob is also survived by his many siblings Betty Gross, Libby Hylton, Judy Collins, Malcolm Goins, Ronald Goins, Donna Sloane, Roy Goins, Mary Jo Goins, and Wayne Goins all of West Virginia, also Brenda Murray of Indiana, and Johnny Goins of Colorado .  Surviving grandchildren of Bob’s include Christi (AJ), Hollie (Ryan), Matt Jr. (Shannon),Stacee (Justin), Alexa (Ben), Jenna (Ben) and Ryan.  His surviving great grandchildren are Hayley, Dylan, Lyndsey, Christian, Justin, Kaycee, Brianna, Gabriella, Brandon, Dallas, Claire, Serenity, Braylon, Addy, Dalton, Sawyer, Aubree, and Luke.

A visitation for Bob will be held Saturday November 14, 2020 at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm located at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville.  A Graveside service will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm located at Believers Sonship Tabernacle Church Cemetery, where Bob will be laid in his final resting place.  Rev. Tim Sink will be officiating the service.

The Goins Family would like to say thank you to Grayson Creek of Welcome, NC for the loving care that was provided to Bobbie.  Special thanks goes to Wake Forest’s 11th Floor, Reynold’s Tower for the exceptional care given to Bobbie.  And a very special thank you goes to Kenneth and Jewell Shrewsbury assisting the Goins family with the home front.
