Billy Ray Stanley

   Billy met the love of his life in 1968 and married her on June 27, 1970 in Davie County. Billy graduated from Rowan Technical Institute with a degree in machinery. He retired from the textile industry in 2003. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mocksville, NC. Billy was an avid fisherman and spent most of his free time on the water. His greatest love was spending time with his grandsons. He loved taking them fishing, watching them play basketball and helping them learn to build. Billy had a great personality and funny sense of humor. He was always pulling pranks on someone. He had a true love for people. He never met a stranger and would talk to anyone that would listen.
   Billy is survived by his loving wife, Cathy of 50 years. A son Matthew Stanley wife Shelley, grandsons Braxton and Wilden Stanley all of China Grove. Brothers Heauly Stanley friend Julie of Salisbury, Jimmy Morgan of Chicago, sisters Sarah Chrisco husband Wayne of Mocksville and Coleen Strange husband Jimmy of Mocksville. Special friends Bob and Marietta Langston of Mocksville and several nieces and nephews.
   A drop in visitation for Billy will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville. Following the visitation a celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 PM at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville Chapel. Officiating the service will be Pastor Darrell Cox and Pastor Kenny Furches.
