Betty Jean Chatmon

Betty Jean Chatmon, 55, of Mocksville, NC, entered into her heavenly home on April 10, 2020 at her residence in Davie County.

Betty was born August 11, 1964 in Tallahassee Co., MS to the late James Walter Chatmon and Bertha (Jones) Chatmon. Betty was also preceded in death by her seven brothers.

Betty attended Tallahassee County schools and also had some college education. She was a caregiver at RHA for over 18 years. Betty attended St. Luke Baptist of Salisbury, NC and she LOVED to shop.

Betty is survived by a son Cameron Woods of Kentucky, a daughter Chelsea Woods of Mocksville, NC, a brother Myles Chatmon of New York, sisters Corrine Chatmon Smith (Rz) of New York, Yvonne Chatmon Chunn of Mocksville, NC, Minnie Chatmon Smith (Lincoln) of Mississippi, Virginia Chatmon Smith of Georgia, grandchildren Christian Woods, and baby Gianna Woods, longtime friends Neiytaysia Reid,  Hayes Smith, and Larry Woods, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donationas may be sent to Davie Funeral Service 416 Valley Rd. Mocksville, NC 27028 to assist with funeral expenses.
