Alvin Raeford Seamon

Alvin Raeford Seamon, 85, of Advance, NC, entered into his heavenly home on May 5, 2020 at his residence in Davie County.

Alvin was born in Davie County, NC, on December 16, 1934, the son of the late John Alvin Seamon and Ethel Louise Seamon.  Alvin is preceded in death by his loving wife Nettie Minor Seamon.

In life Alvin worked in the furniture industry as a saw operator for Baker Furniture.  Alvin was also in the United States Army, was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed seeing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Alvin is survived by a son Donald Seamon (Cynthia) of Advance, NC, sisters Margaret Lewis of Cooleemee, NC, Ella Mae Poindexter of Advance, NC, Betty Snow of Harmony, NC, Novella Minor of Advance, NC, Ruth Ward of Lexington, NC, Sally Whitaker of Mocksville, NC, Peggy Seamon of Mocksville, NC, Lorraine Seamon of Mocksville, NC, grandchildren Kirsten Seamon, Hannah Seamon, Joshua Seamon, and great grandchildren Noah and Rocko.

A visitation for Alvin will be held Friday May 8, 2020 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville, NC.  A graveside service for Alvin will follow visitation Friday May 8, 2020 at 1:15 pm at St. Matthews Cemetery and will be officiated by Pastor James Ward.  Alvin’s final resting place will be at the St. Matthews Cemetery.
