William "Billy" Henry Wafford Jr.

William “Billy” Henry Wafford Jr., 71, of Mocksville, passed away on April 20, 2019 at his home.

Billy was born April 18, 1948 in Davidson County, a son to the late William Henry Wafford Sr. and Vita Creola Whitman (Dunn). He attended Lexington Senior High School and Jerusalem Baptist Church. He also worked as an off bearer at his family’s saw mill for 20 years. Billy was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his 3 sisters Frances K. Sanderson of Mocksville, Louise Watson of Lexington and Carolyn Lea of Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as his 2 grandchildren, T.C. and Justin.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 3 from 6 – 6:30 PM and a memorial service to follow at 7 PM at Jerusalem Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Chapman officiating. Memorials in Billy’s honor can be made to the church or to Rowan Hospice.
