Von Caswell Shelton

Please accept this important information from God’s Word as you recall the precious memories that Caswell left for his entire family. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 gives us the assurance that "the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies" is "the God of all comfort" and he "comforts us in all our trials." James 5:11; God "is very tender in affection ["very compassionate"] and merciful." Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you! (Psalm 36:7; 1 Peter 5:7)

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this most difficult time.  I still can not believe this day has come that my special friend has been called home. Von was the first person we connected with as we relocated from Kansas City to NC more than 24 years ago.  He built not a house but a home full of love and laughter.  He was every bit of my “Southern Father”  We could not have loved him any more.  I pray heaven has lots of crepe myrtles in every color.  We will continue to spread the goodness that he spread tell the jokes he told and keep a bit of his sparkle in our eye.  We are all better because he touched our hearts! Until we meet on the other side. God bless your family.

Sympathy to ALL the family. Von and Bob were such good friends to me in the past. He used to love to hear my grandson say the road the shop was on was "one tippity". Love and prayers to all of you!
