Norman Richard Dale

Norman Richard Dale, 75, of Cranberry Lane, died on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Forsyth Medical Center.  Born in Middlesex County, Connecticut, on October 2, 1939, he was the son of the late Sydney Pearlent Dale and Marion Stevens Dale. Mr. Dale retired from Baker Furniture after 28 years of employment. He served in the US Army and was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Sydney Dale, Jr., Robert Dale, Sr., Kenneth Dale, Sr., and Edward Dale.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Sparks Dale, two sons, Richard Michael Dale and wife, Lisa of Mocksville, and Matthew Lee Dale and wife, Deane of Yadkinville; one daughter, Kathleen Dale Rau of Connecticut; two step-sons, Ricky Sparks and wife, Lora and Alan Sparks, both of Mocksville; four grandchildren, Jessica Garner, Matthew Dale, Jr., Christopher Dalton, and Jennifer Dale; two great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren, Stephanie Sparks of Farmington, and Amanda Emert and husband, Brandon of Advance; and special pet, “Sparky”.

A  Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Union Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Neal Jones and Rev. Darren Crotts officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
