Michael (Mike) Dale Taylor Sr.

Michael Dale Taylor (Mike), 57, of Linwood, passed away on July 20, 2019 at his home.

Mike was born September 1, 1961 in Davie County, a son to the late Roy Odell Taylor Sr. and Mary Lee Williams Taylor. He attended and graduated from Davie High School. He later married the late Karen G. Dildine. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife Karen, his brother Roy Odell Taylor Jr. and sister Cathy Diane Taylor.

In life, Mike spent his career working with the public and was of the Baptist faith. He was a great Daddy and Pawpaw and enjoyed spending time with his family. His life revolved around his family, especially his kids and grandkids.

Mike is survived by his loving family, including his son Michael Dale Taylor Jr. (Myca) of Lexington, daughter Brandi Phillips (Brian) of Yadkinville, daughter Spencer Hendrix (Brandon) of Lexington, brother Thomas Lee Taylor of Lexington and five grandchildren; Matthew Taylor, Charlie Taylor, Mikayela Taylor, Mikah Phillips and Brynlee Phillips.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24 from 6 – 8 PM at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville. A funeral service will be held the following day on Thursday, July 25 at 11:00 AM, also at the Davie Chapel, with Sam Harvey officiating. Interment will be at the Union Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
