Mary Florence Hairston, 79, of Mocksville, NC, died December 12, 2019 at her residence.
Mary was born June 14, 1940, in Davie County, NC, a daughter of the late Rev. Raymond and Irene Hairston. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Laverne Parson, brothers Albert, Lawarance, David, and W.C., sisters Doobie, Margaret, Helen, Wilma, Hazel, Bertha, Flora, and Frances.
In life Mary graduated from Davie County Training School Class of 1957. She worked as an inspector at Lee Jeans, and was a member at Refuge Church.
Survivors include a son John Redmond, daughters Jackie Ramsue, and Vanessa Long (Larry), sister Lula Lane, eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held 12:00 PM- 1:00PM, on Tuesday December 17, 2019, at Victory Baptist Church in Cooleemee, NC. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM at Victory Baptist Church, with Pastor Rodney Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Zion AME Church of Mocksville, NC.
