Loretta Abshire

Loretta Abshire, 56, of Mocksville, passed away unexpectedly on October 8, 2019. She was born on February 27, 1963 in Pikeville, Kentucky, a daughter to the late Lawson Abshire and Anna Ruth Polley Abshire. She attended Feds Creek High School in Kentucky and did clerical work for Jockey for seventeen years. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Loretta is survived by a large and loving family, including her sons Waylon Webb and Johnathan Webb (Courtney) and daughter Amanda Abshire, all of Mocksville, brother David Abshire of Mocksville, brother William Abshire (Brenda) of Cooleemee, sisters Anna Abshire Webb and Melissa Abshire of Mocksville, sister Sue Abshire Shrewsberry (Carl) of Yadkinville, sister Rose Mary Daniels, niece Therese Smith and her five grandchildren Maliyah, Jaylon and Addison Abshire and Haylie and Ella Webb.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 11 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made directly to the funeral home to assist the family with the funeral expenses.
