Linda Kay Branon (Jones), 77, of Lexington, passed away on October 8, 2019 while under hospice care. She was born August 1, 1942 in Davie County, a daughter to the late John Wesley Jones and Dora Jean Flemming Jones. She attended and graduated from Davie High School, was of the Baptist faith and worked for Dixie Furniture for 15 years. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, as well as her husband and her brother Johnny Jones.
Linda is survived by her loving family, including her son Craig Branon (Sherry) of Lexington, daughter Judy Hicks (Terry) of Winston-Salem, daughter Brenda Sink of Lexington, her 8 grandchildren Nicole Callahan, Emma Kay Branon, Morgan Branon, Aaron Elwood, Theron Hicks, Jameson Hicks, Jessica Sink and Veronica Sink, as well as 3 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12 from 12:00 PM Noon to 1:30 PM at the Episcopal Church of the Ascension at Fork in Advance. A funeral service will follow immediately at 1:30 PM with Jeff Perdue and Tommy Roberson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Linda’s honor the Hospice of Davidson County.
