Jones Olin Pardue, 83, of Yadkinville, passed away on October 6, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Olin was born June 17, 1936 in Yadkin County, a son to the late Dollie Herman Pardue and Beulah Hall Pardue. He attended and graduated from West Yadkin High School and later married Grace Eskridge Pardue. Olin was preceded in death by both of his parents, his wife Grace, his brothers Carlie and Bill Pardue, his sister Geraldine Caudle, his brother-in-law Jack Eskridge and three of his grandchildren; Jennifer & Jill Woodward and Christopher Budd.
In life, Olin worked as a trucker for many years. He was a member of the Ijames Baptist Church, the Mocksville Moose Lodge, Masonic Lodge and the Ruritan Club. Olin is survived by a large and loving family, including his son Michael Pardue (Mary) of Charlotte, daughter Sherry Woodward (Joe) of Jefferson, daughter Karen Swicegood (Todd) of Bermuda Run, brother Don Pardue (late Judy) of Harmony, sister-in-law Linda Eudy (Mike) of Statesville, special friend and caregiver Martha Ireland and his six grandchildren Matthew Woodward (Lissa), Jaclyn Matlock (Nick), Nathan, Jordan and Nicholas Budd and Alex Pardue and one great-granddaughter Grace Matlock.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the Davie Funeral Service Chapel in Mocksville. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 2:00 PM, also at the Davie Chapel, with Reverend Greg McQuinn officiating. Interment will follow at Ijames Baptist Church in Mocksville.
