Jean Adeline (Clement) Murdock

Jean Adeline (Clement) Murdock, 86, of Salisbury passed away at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House Friday, January 18, 2019. She was a native of Rowan County, born December 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Loyal and Lola Parks Clement. She was the widow of James A. Murdock.  In addition to being a homemaker for her family, she was also a caregiver for others.

Her memory will be cherished by two sons, Robert Clement of Minnesota and Bernard Clement of Salisbury; one daughter, Lola Earp of Salisbury; one brother, Loyal Clement, Jr. of New York; three sisters, Alice Fortune of Mocksville, Lola Pettiford of Salisbury and Peggy Jones of Mocksville. Twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lipscomb and Hanna McGee, and two brothers, Hayden Clement and Dewey Parks.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 26, at Davie Funeral Chapel with Rev. Daniel Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service in the chapel.
