James Alford Shoaf, 85, of Mocksville, NC, passed away at his home April 4, 2019.
James was born November 18, 1933 in Davie County, NC, the son of the late Gerome and Lydia (Creason) Shoaf. He was also preceded in death by brothers Sam, Bill, Kermit and Harold Shoaf; sisters Sadie Barnhardt, Alene Jones, Tempe Shoaf.
James worked in management with Sara Lee and Hanes Hosiery for forty five years. He was a member at Cornatzer Baptist Church in Mocksville, NC.
Survivors include his wife Helen (Frye) Shoaf; son James Ryman Shoaf (Susan); daughters Junette Day (Warren), Karen Macomson (Rhett); sister Ruby Shoaf Motley; grandchildren Jason Day (Jennifer), Jennifer Day Hamm (Jody), Justin Day (Erin), Caroline Bishop, Geoffrey Bishop (Jenna), Erin Shoaf, and Nathan Shoaf; great grandchildren Aubrey, Eli, Evie, Cade, Emma, and Noah.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 13, 2019 at Cornatzer Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Whiteheart officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.
