Faith Elizabeth Freeman

Faith Elizabeth Freeman, daughter of Luther Monroe Freeman and Meekie Ann Steele, died at her home on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at the age of 92.

Her maternal grandparents were James Alex Steele and Sarah Clementine Towell. Faith’s paternal grandparents were Calvin Parsons Freeman and Laura Ann Seamon.

Faith operated a “neighborhood grocery store” in Statesville and in Rowan County for many years. She also worked at Fiber Industries before taking early retirement to care for her sister, Esther.

Faith was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Esther and brothers James, Clarence, Marion, Cody and Arthur. She is survived by a nephew, Ronnie Freeman, two nieces, Jane F. Bateman (Cliff) and Ann F. Steele (Robert), as well as several great-nephews and great-nieces. She is also survived by a cousin, Phyllis Reep.

A funeral services is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Corinth Church of Christ. The family is honored to have R.D. McDaniel officiating the service and Jimmy Kinley leading the singing of some of Faith’s favorite hymns.
