Emma Jean Walker Green, 75 passed away December 14th at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC peacefully surrounded by family after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Born at the Walker Farm, Olin, NC May 25th, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Spencer Walker and Pearl Childress Walker. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, David W. Green, by her brothers, John, Raymond, James and David, her sister Shirley and her lifelong childhood friend Judy Wagner.
Emma was employed for 15 plus years part-time in the Dietary Department of the Davie County Hospital. Emma was a very kind, caring and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and friend.
Those remaining are her three sons, Bryan Green (Donna), of Lincolnton, NC, Kevin Green (Lanna) of Walnut Cove, NC, Matt Green of Mocksville, NC; one daughter Karen Seamon (Randy) of Mocksville, NC; eight grandchildren, Derek, Lauryn, Tayler, Will, Zach, Joshua, Madison and Hayden; one great granddaughter Emma.
Our mother, grandmother, great grandmother is loved dearly and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Salisbury National Cemetery on Thursday, December 19th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.
