David Lee Lyons

David Lee Lyons, 73, of Mocksville, NC, died January 22, 2020 at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

David was born September 27, 1946 in Davie County, NC, a son of the late Gaston and Sarah (Cuthrell) Lyons. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, and three sisters.

In life David attended Davie County Schools. He worked as a tobacco farmer, and enjoyed farming, and gardening. He attended Mt. Carmel Holiness Church.

Survivors include a brother Richard Gaston Lyons of Statesville, NC, sisters Anna Mae Lyons of Statesville, NC, and Helen Gregory of Mocksville, NC, a special friend Marie Booe, special nephew “Jack” Lyons, and his nieces.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 – 3:00PM Sunday January 26, 2020 at Davie Funeral Service of Mocksville, NC. The Funeral service will follow at 3:00PM with Pastor Rodney Barker officiating. Burial will be at Rose Cemetery in Mocksville, NC.
